Terms & Conditions

These terms cover your use of this website and any order placed with Luxury Jewels. Placing an order means you accept them, so please read them first.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send your dispatch confirmation, not at checkout.

We may decline or cancel an order if stock has run out, a price or description was wrong, we can't deliver to your address, or the order appears fraudulent. If we cancel after payment, you receive a full refund.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. We may change prices at any time, but changes never affect an order already accepted.

Payment is taken at checkout. Charges appear on your statement as LUXURY JEWELS. If you don't recognise a charge, please contact us before your bank. We can usually resolve it faster.

Product descriptions and appearance

Jewellery photographs larger than it wears, and colour reproduction varies between screens. We publish measurements and weights on every listing for this reason. Please read them alongside the images.

Where a piece contains natural stones, small variations in colour, inclusion and marking are inherent to the material and are not defects. Handmade pieces may vary slightly from the photograph.

Materials and plating

Materials are stated on each product page, including whether a piece is solid or plated. Plated finishes wear over time depending on skin chemistry, contact with perfume, cosmetics, chlorine and daily handling. Normal wear of a plated surface is not a manufacturing fault, though plating that lifts unusually early is, and you should contact us if that happens.

Sizing

Ring and bracelet sizes are your responsibility to confirm before ordering. We publish a sizing guide and we're happy to help if you're unsure. Resizing carried out by another jeweller voids our ability to accept a return or address a fault.

Delivery

Timeframes on our delivery page are carrier estimates rather than guarantees. All orders require a signature and no authority to leave can be granted. Risk passes to you on delivery. Providing a correct address is your responsibility, and parcels returned due to an incorrect address may be re-sent at your cost.

Returns and consumer guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our 30 day return policy is in addition to those rights. Pierced earrings, engraved items and made to order pieces are excluded from change of mind returns for the reasons set out on our returns page. Those exclusions do not apply where an item is faulty.

Care

Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising or sleeping. Keep it away from perfume, hairspray, cleaning products and chlorine. Store pieces separately so they don't scratch each other. Damage caused by misuse, accident or failure to follow reasonable care is not a manufacturing fault.

Website content

We work to keep descriptions, images and prices accurate but don't warrant that everything here is error free or current. All content, branding, photography and design on this site belong to us or are used with permission and may not be copied without our written consent.

Liability

Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our liability for a claim relating to a product is limited, at our option, to repairing it, replacing it, supplying an equivalent, or refunding the price paid.

Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our privacy policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here when you order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with in that state's courts. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
